On October 10, in Ashgabat, within the framework of the international exhibition and scientific conference “Healthcare, Education, and Sports in the Era of Revival of the New Epoch of the Powerful State,” an important ceremony of signing bilateral documents took place. These agreements marked another significant stage in implementing Turkmenistan’s foreign policy priority — strengthening and expanding scientific and educational cooperation with foreign countries.

The key outcome of the ceremony was the signing of documents between the Turkmen National Institute of World Languages named after Dovletmammed Azadi and leading European educational institutions:

• United Kingdom: Memorandum of Understanding with the Norwich Institute of Language Education.

• Germany: Agreement on Academic and Cultural Cooperation with the Faculty of Educational Sciences of Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg.

The signed documents aim to promote the comprehensive development of the scientific and educational sphere and open broad opportunities for Turkmen universities, including:

• Academic exchange: Exchange of lecturers, researchers, and students.

• Joint projects: Development of joint educational and research initiatives, including conferences, seminars, and studies.

• Access to resources: Free access to partner universities’ library collections.

• Professional development: Cooperation in the training and retraining of academic staff.

• Integration: Strengthening integration into the international scientific space and applying its innovative achievements.

The signing of these documents is a strategic step toward training highly qualified specialists and bringing Turkmenistan’s national education system closer to global standards.
