Nowruz in the language of poetry
The Ashgabat Center of Free Creativity hosted a meeting dedicated to Nowruz holiday. Turkmenistan’s people’s writers and journalists – Dovletgeldy Annamuradov, Dovrangeldy Agalyev, poetess Gozel Shagulyeva and others were the guests of the studio.
The writers told about the significance of the ancient holiday of spring, having shared their work with young journalists and writers.
In 2009, Nowruz was inscribed on the UNESCO Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, so the festivity has an international status. Coincidentally, on this day – March 21, the World Poetry Day is also celebrated. In addition, spring is the most inspiring season of the year, especially for creative people.

When the dawn rides on Mount Koyten,
dew
will rise up as a white steam -
come out,
do not waste a moment in vain:
be delighted with the beautiful view of Lebap.
Nowruz Bayram, like poetry, unites countries, peoples and cultures. Thoughts in a poetic form go inside the hearts of people and in honor of the festivity, poetry is traditionally performed:
East has a delicate taste
East celebrates Nowruz!
In March, the holiday comes
It means “A New Day”
New Day and New Year
Even though spring is coming!
