Consul of Turkmenistan in the Russian Federation began work in the Astrakhan region

Consul of Turkmenistan in the Russian Federation (Astrakhan) Atadurdy Bayramov took up his duties, having handed over the relevant documents to the Governor of the region Alexander Zhilkin.
The diplomat was presented to the head of the Astrakhan region at his residence by the extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of Turkmenistan in the Russian Federation Batyr Niyazliev.
"He will represent Turkmenistan in Russia and the Astrakhan region with dignity, carry out the tasks set by the heads of the two states, develop cooperation between the regions," Niyazliev said.
Bayramov was appointed consul of Turkmenistan in Russia in June. Previously, he was the first secretary of the Permanent Mission of Turkmenistan to the Geneva branch of the United Nations in Switzerland.
The consulate of Turkmenistan in Astrakhan has been operating since August 2013. Since the visit of President Berdimuhamedov to Astrakhan in 2010, cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation has entered a new stage of development. This is confirmed by the opening in May of this year of the Turkmen school named after Magtymguly Fragi in the Astrakhan region.
- The opening of the school carries ideological content for future generations. We organize the educational process in such a way as to further strengthen the relations between Turkmenistan and Russia, between our peoples living on the shores of the Caspian Sea," the head of the Astrakhan region said.
Zhilkin also spoke in favor of the development of transportation, as he highly appreciates the quality of Turkmen producers' goods.
