On October 5, a delegation from the Oguz Han Engineering and Technology University of Turkmenistan took part in the opening ceremony of the Science and Technology in Society (STS) Forum, held in Kyoto, Japan. The forum is one of the most prestigious global platforms, bringing together representatives of governments, scientists, and industry leaders from around the world.

The presence of Their Majesties, the Emperor and Empress of Japan, at the ceremony underscored the country’s strong commitment to fostering international cooperation.

Speakers, including the Prime Minister of Japan and prominent global figures, highlighted the importance of international collaboration, ethical innovation, and knowledge sharing. The key theme of the forum focused on the role of science and technology in addressing global challenges and ensuring sustainable development for humanity.

Following the ceremony, expert and ministerial sessions were held to discuss issues related to science policy, technological innovation, and the future of education and research.

The participation of Turkmenistan’s delegation in the STS Forum marked an important step toward strengthening the country’s cooperation with leading global scientific and educational institutions. Earlier reports noted that the delegation from the Oguz Han Engineering and Technology University had studied Japan’s experience in water purification technologies.
