German Surgeons Visited Medical Facilities in the City of Arkadag.
Turkmenistan continues to develop a strategic dialogue with leading global medical centers. The latest step in this direction was the visit of experienced doctors from major German clinical centers. After visiting medical facilities, in the capital, they also visited the new city of Arkadag to observe the level of medical services.
The German delegation included, among others, a transplant surgeon from Heidelberg University Hospital. A visit of this caliber underscores Turkmenistan's focus on mastering the most complex and high-tech areas of medicine.
German doctors met with their Turkmen colleagues to exchange views on the modern healthcare system. This cooperation opens a new chapter in international relations within the framework of the Saglyk State Program, the 30th anniversary of which is being celebrated this year.
The Turkmen-German partnership has been systematic since 1998, and during this time, more than two hundred German professors have been invited to Turkmenistan to exchange experiences, conduct seminars, and master innovative methods.
In parallel with the exchange of experience in healthcare, the production of import-substituting products in Turkmenistan is being successfully addressed.
The enterprise “Arkadag Medisina Klasteri Menejment” is working to saturate the market with domestic medical products. Under its brand, it has established the production of disposable sterile syringes, which are now fully supplied to medical institutions in the country; medical products that meet high environmental standards (cotton wool, disposable masks, headgear, gowns, and shoe covers); and various types of nutrition for young children.
A shining example of humanism and care for the younger generation is the work of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need. The Foundation's resources enable large-scale charitable activities. Currently, children from the Dashoguz Velayat are successfully undergoing rehabilitation at the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Children's Health and Rehabilitation Center.
The international medical dialogue in Turkmenistan will continue at a major international forum scheduled for October 10-12 in Ashgabat. Its program includes a number of specialized congresses, including the 11th Congress of Cardiologists of Turkic-Speaking States, the International Congress of Physiologists of Central Asian Countries, and the International Conference of Oncologists of Eurasian States.
