Turkmen Ambassador to Islamabad and Federal minister for energy of Pakistan discussed the progress in TAPI project

Ways of enhancement of bilateral relations were discussed at the meeting of the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Pakistan Atadjan Movlamov with the Pakistani Federal Minister for energy Syed Ali Zafar. During the conversation, special attention was paid to the pace of implementation of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India gas pipeline project. The sides discussed in detail the status of the project to date and confirmed the determination of both countries to further provide mutual support in the timely realization of the TAPI gas line project. Pakistani high official noted that the landmark energy project would not only meet the energy needs but would also open avenues to generate economic activities helping people to ameliorate their standards of living. - Pakistan and Turkmenistan share historical and religious linkages and their brotherly relationship is deeply rooted in the heart of the people of both countries, said Minister Seyed Ali Zafar, expressing his country’s desire to strengthen cooperation and collaboration with Turkmenistan in various mutually beneficial areas.
