Road Safety Contest held in Kindergartens of Mary Velayat
On September 16, the regional stage of the contest “Green Light” was held at Kindergarten No. 49 in the city of Mary. The event was organized as part of the traditional nationwide campaign “Road Safety – Comfort of Our Life”, initiated by Hero Arkadag and carried out under the leadership of the Esteemed President of Turkmenistan.
The main goal of the contest was to prevent road traffic accidents among children and to teach them traffic rules from an early age. The event also aimed to identify and promote the best regional practices in this field.
Within the framework of the contest, the following were evaluated:
• Educational and methodological materials and models.
• Photo and video collections of road safety activities.
• Recordings of contests and games.
• Publications in the mass media.
Educators demonstrated their methods of teaching children traffic rules, familiarizing them with road signs and types of vehicles.
According to the results of the contest organized by the Mary Velayat organizing committee, the main prizes were awarded to the following kindergartens:
• The Grand Prize went to Kindergarten No. 9 of Turkmengala etrap.
• First place – Kindergarten No. 21 of the city of Mary.
• Second place – Kindergarten No. 1 of Murgap etrap.
• Third place – shared by Kindergarten No. 12 of Yoloten etrap.
The winners were awarded diplomas by the Main Department of Education of Mary Velayat.
