The Embassy of Pakistan in Turkmenistan announces a vacancy for the position of Translator/Protocol Assistant.
Qualification: Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree, preferably in International Relations, Political Science, Public Relations, English Language, or an equivalent qualification.
A certificate or diploma in translation (English ↔ Russian) is preferred.
Work Experience: Minimum of 3 years of written/oral translation experience, preferably in a diplomatic or international organization.
Languages: Candidate must be fluent in English, Turkmen, and Russian (reading, writing, and speaking).
Driving: Candidate must possess a valid driver’s license with at least five years of driving experience.
Skills and Abilities: Specialized technical translation skills required for oral and written communication.
The candidate should demonstrate initiative, patience, attention to detail, as well as exceptional tact and diplomacy when dealing with senior government officials, representatives of industry, science, culture, institutions, the public of the host country, and diplomats from other missions.
Ability to quickly draft documents in any of the three required languages. Proficiency in word processing software is required.
Protocol Knowledge: Must have thorough knowledge of the host country’s protocol instructions, as well as general etiquette and social values.
Computer Skills: Candidate must be proficient in computer use.
Selection Process: Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a test/interview for the final selection.
Remuneration: Salary will be competitive with the market and based on the candidate’s skills.
