UNDP Launches Second Cohort of the Future Skills Academy Empowering Youth with Future-Ready Skills

UNDP Turkmenistan, in collaboration with the UNDP Knowledge Project, is proud to announce the launch of the second cohort of the Future Skills Academy — a dynamic initiative aimed at enhancing employment opportunities and advancing careers for youth across Turkmenistan. UNDP Turkmenistan, in collaboration with the UNDP Knowledge Project, is proud to announce the launch of the second cohort of the Future Skills Academy — a dynamic initiative aimed at enhancing employment opportunities and advancing careers for youth across Turkmenistan. The programme offers access to high-quality, future-focused online courses designed to build in-demand skills for today’s job market.

This initiative is implemented within the Country Component of the regional project “Promoting Resilient Communities to Prevent Violent Extremism (PVE) in Central Asia”, funded by the Government of Japan and implemented by UNDP Turkmenistan in partnership with the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population.

Building on the success of the first Future Skills4All cohort, which trained over 1,000 young people and women, this second round continues the mission of equipping participants with critical skills for employability, resilience, and meaningful participation in society.

We invite you to:

  1. Apply to join the programme if you’re eligible and eager to grow your skills.
  2. Share the registration link with your networks — youth, educators, civil society organizations, and others who may benefit.

Programme Highlights:

• Choose your track: Transferable, Entrepreneurial, or Technical Skills

• Topics covered: Communication, Business Planning, Digital Literacy, Programming

• Format: Online courses via Coursera

• Support: Ongoing mentorship and guidance

To be eligible for this upskilling and reskilling programme, applicants must be citizens of Turkmenistan or stateless persons living in Turkmenistan with a residence permit. The applicant should also demonstrate a strong commitment to enrolling in courses and completing the selected courses.
