The record of the mental arithmetic competition at Kids Expo is a contender for the world level
The mental arithmetic competition among schoolchildren of Turkmenistan Flash Anzan Marathon, which took place today at the Kids Expo exhibition in Ashgabat, became a bright event and was marked by several achievements at once - from national records to a result that is a contender for world recognition.
The jury included teachers from 16 educational centers of the country. And the founder of the MEMORIAD World Olympiad Melik Duyar was invited as the main expert and honorary guest of the event, whose presence emphasized the importance of the competition and its connection with the international movement in the field of mental arithmetic.
As part of the competition, a tour of the MEMORIAD Olympiad was held, where the hero was Aly Orashov, 14, from Balkanabat Specialized Secondary School No. 22. He set a record in the flash Anzan discipline. Aly started studying mental arithmetic three years ago and today demonstrates a high level of preparation. This result corresponds to the world level and awaits official confirmation from the international organization MEMORIAD - the World Olympiad in Memory, Mental Calculation and Speed Reading.
Other participants did not stand aside either. 10-year-old Rovach Begendzhov from Secondary School No. 28 in Turkmenabat (Lebap velayat). The schoolboy instantly correctly added 100 single-digit numbers in a shuffled order (the shuffle discipline). Despite the fact that Rovach has only been studying mental arithmetic for a year, he already shows impressive speed and accuracy of calculations.
Another record was set by Mekan Batyrov, 11, from Secondary Specialized School No. 3 in Balkanabat. In his ninth attempt, he succeeded in multiplying eight-digit numbers, which was an important step in the development of his skills.
The emergence of new talents and their success in the international arena are becoming important evidence that a generation capable of competing at the global level of knowledge and intellectual skills is being formed in the country.
