Turkmenistan and UNICEF Agreed on New Steps to Cooperate in the Interests of Children

On the sidelines of the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing States, which is starting in Avaza, numerous bilateral meetings of representatives of the government of Turkmenistan and international organizations, and foreign government officials are taking place.
In particular, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Bayramgul Orazdurdyeva met with UNICEF Deputy Executive Director Kitty van der Heyden.
The main topic of the talks was expanding partnership in the field of protecting the rights and well-being of children. The parties discussed joint projects in the field of healthcare, quality education and social protection, and outlined further steps to strengthen cooperation between Turkmenistan and UNICEF.
