Turkmenistan Tennis Federation discusses Memorandum of Cooperation with ITF President
In London, on the sidelines of the Wimbledon tournament, Eziz Dovletov, Chairman of the Turkmenistan Tennis Federation (TTF) and Vice-President of the Asian Tennis Federation, met with David Haggerty, President of the International Tennis Federation (ITF).
The primary focus of their discussion was the preparation of a Memorandum of Understanding between the TTF and the ITF. This document aims to strengthen cooperation and more actively integrate Turkmen tennis into the global community. Specifically, it provides for the implementation of programs for coach training, experience exchange, and the participation of international experts in the training process within Turkmenistan.
The parties also discussed the upcoming ITF Level 2 regional seminar, which will be held in Ashgabat from August 4 to 15. Twelve Turkmen specialists are expected to participate.
During the meeting, recent achievements of Turkmen tennis players were also acknowledged, including the U12 girls' team reaching the finals of the Asian Team Championship, and the strong performances of the country's men's and women's national teams in international tournaments.
