Farmers in Turkmenistan have delivered 1,407,000 tons of wheat to the state. The high yield is the result of ongoing agricultural sector reforms carried out under the leadership of President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and initiated by the National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

State support, including increased procurement prices for wheat and the technical modernization of agricultural enterprises, contributed to higher productivity. A key factor in achieving this result was the introduction of new wheat varieties—“Serdar,” “Arkadag,” and “Pyragy”—developed by the Scientific Research Institute of Grain Crops.

Agricultural work was carried out using modern equipment, including “John Deere” and “CLAAS” combines. The operations were supported by technical services and coordination on the ground. The harvested grain was promptly delivered to grain collection points and elevators across the country.

Selective breeding and agrotechnical efforts were also conducted to improve soil fertility and crop resilience. The private sector, having gained access to land resources, made a significant contribution to the 2025 harvest campaign.

The ongoing development of the agricultural sector and state investment in infrastructure continue to ensure food security and strengthen the national economy.
