The glorified actor of theatre and cinema, he was remembered by bright roles in films "Scarlet Sails", "War and peace", "Anna Karenina", "Officers", « Seventeen Moments of Spring », becoming the best embodiment of an image of the noble officer and the soldier not only on the screen, but also as it has appeared, in real life.
Vasily Semenovich was engaged in public work, many years headed the International children's film festival «Scarlet Sails of Artek», were the co-chairman of a board of guardians of the patriotic action «Immortal regiment», were a member of social council at the Ministry of Defence of Russia and the art director of the action «Thanks for fidelity, descendants! »
