Wandercraft, a company renowned for its exoskeletons, has developed its first humanoid robot, Calvin. This achievement moved from concept to prototype in just 40 days, leveraging the use of readily available components.

Calvin, a human-sized "headless" robot, is slated for deployment in Renault factories, a key investor in Wandercraft. It is voice-controlled and can interchange its end-effectors (such as hands, suction cups, and grippers), enabling it to transport boxes and execute various other industrial tasks.

In the future, Calvin holds potential for assistance in other sectors, including medicine or in the daily lives of individuals with disabilities, by alleviating them from complex and unergonomic tasks. Currently, Calvin remains a concept and has not yet entered mass production.
