The solemn opening of the IV Festival of Literature and Books of the Turkic World (IV LitBookFest) took place in the park of the Academy of Sciences, in front of the main building of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan, with Turkmenistan among the participating nations.

The event is organized by the International Union of Authors of the Turkic World with the support of public and scientific organizations of Azerbaijan. The festival has brought together representatives of Turkic countries – scholars, writers, publishers, and cultural figures – with the aim of strengthening spiritual unity, as well as literary and cultural ties.

Particular attention in the festival's program is devoted to each participating country. Throughout the week, days dedicated to Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, and the Republic of Turkey will be held. Turkmenistan's Day will also feature book presentations, poetry recitals, and cultural performances showcasing the rich literary heritage and distinct identity of the Turkmen people.

The festival's framework also includes exhibitions of handicrafts, concert programs, conferences, and meetings dedicated to the anniversaries of renowned Turkic writers. The festival will conclude on June 1st with the holding of the first children's festival of the Turkic world.

Turkmenistan's participation in such an international cultural event reflects the country's aspiration for active engagement with fraternal peoples, the strengthening of humanitarian ties, and the promotion of its national literary heritage on the international stage.
