The Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan held a telephone conversation
On May 8th, Rashid Meredov, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, and Jeyhun Bayramov, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, conducted a telephone conversation.
The diplomats discussed topical issues concerning the strengthening of cooperation between the two countries, which are currently on the agenda. The Ministers expressed their confidence that the historically established traditional friendly and fraternal relations between the two peoples will continue to develop on the basis of partnership.
The importance of political dialogue at the level of heads of state, mutual exchange of visits, as well as consultations through the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, was noted in the development of relations between the two countries.
The Ministers also discussed matters of regional security, cooperation within international organizations, and the Caspian Sea.
During the telephone conversation, an exchange of views took place on other bilateral and multilateral issues of mutual interest, as stated in a press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan.
