Warming with care: Meeting in Minsk dedicated to helping children in need of support

A special meeting was held at the Republican Rehabilitation Center for Disabled Children in Minsk. Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Belarus Nazarguly Shagulyev visited the Center and met with its Director Lyudmila Kondrashova. Representative of the CIS Executive Committee Elena Shamal also took part in the discussion.
This meeting was dedicated to the most important thing – caring for children. Director Lyudmila Kondrashova warmly told the Ambassador about how the Center helps children with disabilities, those who need special support due to diseases of the neuromuscular system or musculoskeletal system. The Center provides comprehensive assistance to children aged 3 to 18, aimed at helping them gain new opportunities and adapt to life.
They don’t just treat here. The Center’s specialists approach each child individually, assessing their potential and developing a personal rehabilitation program. This program includes not only medical procedures and therapeutic physical training, but also classes with psychologists, speech therapists, and special education teachers. The goal of the Center is to help children not only improve their health, but also feel more confident in society, using the most modern and gentle methods.
During the conversation, Lyudmila Kondrashova shared her impressions of participating in the International Conference "Year of Peace and Trust: Developing International Activities for Children", which took place on March 29 in the Turkmen city of Arkadag. She noted with great gratitude the high level of organization of the conference, calling it an important contribution to the development of humanitarian cooperation. This participation became a vivid example of how important the international exchange of experience is in such a sensitive area. Lyudmila Kondrashova also invited representatives of Turkmenistan to visit their Center to see their work in person.
Ambassador Shagulyev, in turn, emphasized the importance of joint work between countries in the social and humanitarian field. He noted the great opportunities for joint initiatives and projects that can directly affect the improvement of the quality of life of children who need special care. The meeting in Minsk ended with a confirmation of mutual interest in developing cooperation.
This is not just a diplomatic move, but a sincere desire of Turkmenistan and Belarus to join forces to make an even greater contribution to the well-being and happy future of children with special needs, strengthening the warm and humane ties between the two countries.
