New projects concerning the development of the “North-South” ITC will be presented at KazanForum 2025


The central event on the transport agenda of the International Economic Forum “Russia – Islamic World: KazanForum” will be the session “International Transport Corridor “North – South”.
Participants will discuss the infrastructure development along the entire route of the North-South ITC, the expansion of transportation geography, and the development of a legal framework for cargo transportation. New projects will be presented during the discussion.
Representatives from the Government of the Russian Federation, the Presidential Administration, regional authorities, transport companies, as well as foreign counterparts from the transport ministries of Iran, the Republic of Türkiye, Pakistan, Bahrain, Afghanistan, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Qatar, Uzbekistan, and Turkmenistan will participate in the session.
At the panel discussion "Transport Cooperation of the Caspian Littoral States" representatives from the "Caspian Five" countries (Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Russia, and Turkmenistan) will share their developments and accumulated experience regarding practical measures and instruments aimed at monitoring and managing transport corridors.
"One of the priority areas of our international agenda is the development of infrastructure along the entire length of the International North-South Transport Corridor, the expansion of transportation geography, and the development of a legal framework for the carriage of goods. Our colleagues from the countries through whose territories the ITC routes pass are participating in this work. We are paying particular attention to transport cooperation with the Caspian littoral states and the member states of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA). We are continuing joint work on the development of road routes and international road transport, as well as the introduction of digital solutions in transport logistics" states Roman Starovoit, Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation.
The Ministry of Transport of Russia is the organizer of five events on transport and logistics within the framework of the International Economic Forum "Russia – Islamic World: KazanForum" which will be held in Kazan from May 13 to 18.
