A tree-planting initiative, the "SCO Family Friendship Forest" took place in Beijing
On April 20th, an ecological event named "SCO Family Friendship Forest" was held at the Beijing Wildlife Park. The undertaking was a joint effort by the SCO Committee on Good-Neighborliness, Friendship and Cooperation and the Secretariat of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
Representatives from diplomatic missions, staff members of the Organization's Secretariat, and their families participated in the event, which was timed to coincide with the Year of SCO Sustainable Development – 2025 under China's chairmanship.
Undoubtedly, the children were the most enthusiastic participants in the initiative. One hundred trees were planted, symbolizing the strong bonds of friendship, mutual respect, and solidarity among the peoples of the SCO member states.
