The Border Management Programme in Central Asia (BOMCA 10), funded by the European Union, has formally transferred data processing and inspection equipment to the State Border Service of Turkmenistan.

The new equipment, consisting of personal computers, monitors, servers, printers, and a laptop, will support the operations of the Border Control Department at the service's central office. This will enhance its capacity for collecting and analyzing data on the flow of passengers, vehicles, and goods. The equipment will aid in reviewing the history and profiles of individuals and objects, thereby increasing the effectiveness of risk assessment and operational decision-making.

The State Border Guard Service of Turkmenistan also received two sets of inspection tools, including video endoscopes, telescopic mirrors, and air blowers, which will be used for training border service personnel. These practical group sessions, conducted in accordance with the department's annual training plans, will focus on the inspection of vehicles, trucks, and containers.
