From April 15th to 17th, unsettled weather conditions are anticipated across Turkmenistan, characterized by increased wind speeds and dust storms. Isolated regions may experience brief showers and thunderstorms.

Specifically, on April 15th, wind speeds will intensify in the Balkan velayat to 16–21 m/s, in the Dashoguz velayat to 12–17 m/s, and in the Akhal velayat and the northern part of the Lebap velayat to 11–16 m/s. Dust storms are expected in certain areas, potentially reducing visibility in localized regions.

On April 16th, strong winds are forecast for the Dashoguz velayat, the northern parts of the Balkan and Lebap velayats, as well as in localized areas of the Akhal velayat. Gusts may reach 13–18 m/s, increasing to 19–24 m/s in the Akhal velayat during the afternoon.

On April 17th, gust speeds in the Akhal and Balkan velayats will range from 18–23 m/s, in the Mary velayat from 17–22 m/s, and in the Lebap velayat up to 12–17 m/s. Dust storms will persist. Furthermore, during this period, the Balkan velayat and localized areas of the Dashoguz, Akhal, and Lebap velayats may experience heavy rainfall and thunderstorms.

Rainfall amounts of up to 25–40 mm is possible in certain districts of the Balkan velayat. We advise considering these weather conditions when planning travel and outdoor work.
