Youth of all Central Asian countries, unite!


On June 26 – 30, the first youth forum of Central Asia was held in Tashkent and Samarkand. The delegation of Turkmenistan – the representatives of the Ministry of Sport and Youth Policy of the country and the Council of the Youth Organization named after Makhtumkuli – took part in the event. The main goal of this forum, uniting the youth of fraternal people of the Central Asian countries, is aimed at joint implementation of socially significant projects and programs. Within the framework of the forum, the participants discussed the place and role of youth in the development of the overall potential of the region, the practical aspects of interaction between youth organizations and agencies of the region’s countries. Round tables on prevention of extremism and radicalism in the Central Asian region were held. Activists of the youth movement of Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan, as well as guests from China and Russia shared their experience, vision of common tasks and discussed counter-proposals. For example, everyone welcomed the idea of holding such a forum every year, as well as an international conference of young leaders of Central Asian countries. The initiative on annual student summit is also supported. Proposals for organization of regional competitions in IT technologies, the championship in robotics, a creative festival, etc. were also made. The forum participants agreed to interact in the cultural and humanitarian sphere and in the development of youth tourism, to hold an annual friendly football championship among youth of CA countries and the street ball championship among amateurs, Sputnik Uzbekistan reports.
