The Ambassadors of Turkmenistan and Mongolia Met in Minsk

On June 15, a working meeting was held at the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Minsk between Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Belarus Nazarguly Shagulyev and newly appointed Ambassador of Mongolia Gunaajaf Baigalmaa. The Mongolian side initiated these talks, which were held in an exceptionally constructive and trusting atmosphere, underscoring Ulaanbaatar's growing interest in deepening comprehensive ties with Ashgabat.
The diplomats held a detailed exchange of views on the most pressing issues of bilateral relations and global geopolitics, noting with satisfaction the steady positive dynamics in the development of interstate relations. The colleagues paid special attention to practical ways to expand political, trade, economic, cultural, and humanitarian cooperation, which received a powerful boost following the historic state visits of the President of Mongolia to Ashgabat in the fall of 2024 and the President of Turkmenistan to Ulaanbaatar in the summer of 2025, as well as the recent June negotiations on the launch of new trans-Eurasian transport corridors.
During the conversation, the head of the Turkmen diplomatic mission explained to his Mongolian counterpart the profound philosophical and practical meaning of Turkmenistan's official motto for 2026, "Independent, Neutral Turkmenistan – the Homeland of Purposeful Winged Horses." Nazarguly Shagulyev emphasized that this slogan represents a comprehensive national development program aimed at consistently enhancing the country's prestige in the world and symbolizes the inextricable link between rich folk traditions and the country's aspirations for large-scale technological modernization and global progress. This motto clearly reflects Ashgabat's commitment to the unshakable principles of positive neutrality, a vibrant spirit of creation, nobility, and determination.
Furthermore, the Turkmen diplomat informed Gunaajaf Baigalmaa in detail about the key international forums and high-level meetings scheduled for Turkmenistan this year to commemorate the upcoming landmark date—the 35th anniversary of the country's independence. Concluding the meeting, the Turkmen Ambassador reaffirmed Ashgabat's unwavering foreign policy, based on absolute openness to long-term and mutually beneficial partnerships in all strategic areas. It was emphasized that in the modern international arena, Turkmenistan always acts as an exceptionally honest, predictable, and reliable ally, ready to implement large-scale joint projects.
