The United Nations Office at Vienna served this week as a platform for a significant event underscoring the enduring value of cultural heritage for all of humanity. The book "Magtymguly – the Sage of Peace" by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov was presented by the Embassy and Permanent Mission of Turkmenistan in Vienna.

The event convened ambassadors and permanent representatives to the UN, diplomats, representatives of international organizations, as well as students from Turkmenistan, Austria, and other countries, demonstrating the broad international interest in the works of the great poet and philosopher of the East.

During the presentation, it was emphasized that the book by the President of Turkmenistan contributes to the further study and global recognition of the wisdom of Makhtumkuli, whose poems, imbued with calls for peace, unity, and mutual respect, remain relevant today.

The participants of the presentation particularly noted that the humanistic ideals of Makhtumkuli inspire Turkmenistan's international initiatives, notably the United Nations General Assembly resolution declaring 2025 the International Year of Peace and Trust, which emphasizes the profound connection between cultural heritage and modern diplomacy.
