Pre-New Year chess tournament was held among teenagers

The Chess Championship of Turkmenistan was held by the National Center for Playing Sports according to the “blitz” system. The tournament was attended by 16 young chess players.
Based on the competition results, Abdyrahman Rakhimov who scored 13 points won 1st place, Nurgeldi Annagurdov with 12 points took 2nd place, and Guvanch Gidjenov’s 11 points allowed him to be third. The championship was controled by Honored Coach of Turkmenistan, FIDE Master Shohrat Muratguliyev and FIDE Master Maisa Ovezova. The winners were awarded medals and special gifts for the upcoming New Year’s Holiday.
