ORIENT discussed prospects for information partnership with the Chinese agency Xinhua
The leadership of the leading Turkmen news website ORIENT held a meeting with a delegation from the Chinese state news agency Xinhua as part of a visit by representatives of Chinese media to Turkmenistan. The delegation was headed by Zhao Yun, Director of Xinhua's Central Asian Bureau.
Representing ORIENT at the meeting was Bekdurdy Amansaryyev, Director General of the Media Turkmen News Agency, which includes ORIENT, and the website's editor-in-chief.
During the meeting, which took place within the framework of Xinhua's negotiations with leading media organizations in Turkmenistan, potential cooperation in the information sphere was discussed. The parties touched upon topics such as the exchange of news content, interaction in the field of digital media, as well as prospects for joint coverage of key events in Turkmenistan, China, and the Central Asian region.
