Turkmenistan presented its culture to the youth of Azerbaijan
The Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Azerbaijan organized a vibrant exhibition and a rich cultural program at the Eureka International Lyceum in Baku. The event was dedicated to the International Year of Peace and Trust, the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality, as well as the popularization of the rich history and unique culture of Turkmenistan among foreign youth.
The event was attended by representatives of diplomatic missions accredited in Azerbaijan, educational figures, employees of the country's mass media and, of course, students of the Eureka International Lyceum.
The central element of the program was a thematic exhibition, which included photo stands and expositions telling about the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's neutrality, its centuries-old history, unique culture and even traditional Turkmen cuisine. Guests were able to learn about Turkmenistan's contribution to maintaining regional peace and international cooperation, as well as get acquainted with its rich artistic heritage.
The literary part of the event was decorated with performances by talented students of the lyceum, who heartfeltly recited poems by the great Turkmen poet and thinker Magtymguly Fragi. Their recitation allowed us to touch the wisdom and beauty of Turkmen poetry.
The culmination of the evening was the fiery performances of foreign students, who performed colorful Turkmen national dances and other musical numbers. This bright finale demonstrated the universal appeal of Turkmen art and the keen interest of young people from other countries in its study and popularization.
This initiative of the Embassy of Turkmenistan underlines the country's commitment to strengthening international understanding and cultural exchange, especially among the younger generation. By presenting its history, culture and traditions, Turkmenistan seeks to strengthen bridges of friendship and trust with Azerbaijan and the world in the spirit of the International Year of Peace and Trust.
In addition, on March 18, the Embassy of Turkmenistan organized a football match in Baku in honor of significant dates. The event was attended by representatives of the Turkmen diaspora, as well as Turkmen students studying in higher educational institutions of Azerbaijan and Azerbaijani youth.
Before the start of the football match, the participants were told about the history, significance and fundamental principles of positive neutrality of Turkmenistan and the International Year of Peace and Trust.
