Turkmenistan to hold nationwide tree planting campaign on March 22
In accordance with the Resolution signed by President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, a nationwide tree planting campaign will be held in the country on Saturday, March 22. This initiative, carried out within the framework of the National Strategy for Environmental Protection and Greening of the Country, is designed to further strengthen Turkmenistan's efforts in the fight against climate change and the creation of a favorable environmental situation.
The document instructs all ministries and departments, hyakimliks of the velayats and the cities of Ashgabat and Arkadag to ensure that this large-scale campaign is held at the highest organizational level. It is expected that representatives of various government agencies, public organizations, labor collectives, students and numerous residents of the country will take part in the event, thereby demonstrating nationwide support for environmental initiatives.
