The US Ambassador highly appreciated the work of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation
On Thursday, a meeting was held in the city of Arkadag between Vice President for Medical Activities of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Needy Children, Oguljahan Atabayeva, and US Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Turkmenistan, Elizabeth Rood.
The meeting discussed the activities of the Foundation and its contribution to the development of international cooperation. Oguljahan Atabayeva noted that the organization's priority remains humanitarian tasks, including medical assistance to children in need of treatment.
It was emphasized that the Charitable Foundation, created on the initiative of Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, is gradually expanding the scope of its work, providing support to those in need not only in Turkmenistan, but also abroad.
The US Ambassador, expressing gratitude for the information provided, highly appreciated the activities of the Foundation and confirmed her readiness for cooperation at the international level. Ms. Elizabeth Rood also emphasized that joint initiatives can contribute to strengthening bilateral relations and humanitarian ties.
During the meeting, Oguljahan Atabayeva noted that this year marks the fourth anniversary of the foundation of the Charitable Foundation, and international events are planned in honor of this date.
In addition, the Foundation's interaction with specialized structures and international organizations, including the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), was discussed.
It was noted that the implementation of the initiatives outlined by the National Leader contributes not only to strengthening the authority of the Foundation, but also to promoting the principles of neutrality of Turkmenistan, the development of peace and friendship.
At the end of the meeting, the participants emphasized that the activities of the Charitable Foundation, named after its founder, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, are of particular importance in 2025, declared the International Year of Peace and Trust.
