A decline in the heatwave is expected across the regions of Turkmenistan. Weather forecasters predict that the elevated temperatures will begin to subside starting from today, March 20th.

Furthermore, from March 20th to 24th, rainfall of varying intensity will occur in most regions, with heavy downpours and thunderstorms expected in some areas.

It is worth noting that the heatwave that established itself in the country several days ago has already broken temperature records. On March 18th, in Ashgabat, the air temperature reached +33.3° Celsius, exceeding the previous maximum recorded in 1974 (+30.1° Celsius). The humidity level simultaneously dropped to 7%.
