President of Turkmenistan expresses condolences to North Macedonia over tragedy in Kocani
President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov sent deep condolences to the President of the Republic of North Macedonia Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova over the tragic fire that occurred in the city of Kocani.
The head of state expressed sincere sympathy and support on behalf of the people and the Government of Turkmenistan, as well as on his own behalf, to the families and friends of those killed in the fire. In his message, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov also wished a speedy recovery to all victims.
According to preliminary data, the fire that broke out during the concert was caused by the use of pyrotechnics. The tragedy resulted in the deaths of at least 59 people, mostly young people, and more than 150 were injured. A seven-day mourning has been declared in the Republic.
