President Serdar Berdimuhamedov sent a congratulatory message on the occasion of the 17th anniversary of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan (UIET), the holding of the UIET exhibition and the International Forum "Investments in the Future of Turkmenistan".
In his message, the head of state cordially congratulated the participants and guests of the events on the significant date, emphasizing that the development of the private sector is one of the key priorities of the national economy of the country. The President noted that the current large-scale events indicate that the members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, successfully using state support, have become the driving force of the country's economy.
Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized that in order to ensure high rates of economic development in the country, large-scale state programs and major regional projects are being implemented, where public-private partnerships are given great importance. In this regard, the head of state emphasized the impressive activities of Turkmen businessmen in implementing the policy of scientific and technological reforms, using the opportunities of the digital economy, developing industry, agriculture and services.
The President noted that individual entrepreneurs make a significant contribution to the development of the economy and improving the well-being of the people, creating modern production facilities for the production of import-substituting and export-oriented products, as well as new jobs. As a result of the modernization of the business environment, the share of the private sector in the economy is steadily growing, and the Program for the Socioeconomic Development of Turkmenistan and Investments in 2025 plans to bring the share of the non-state sector in the gross domestic product to 71.6%.
The head of state expressed confidence that domestic entrepreneurs will continue to work hard, relying on innovation, science and advanced technologies, and their products and services will become a model of modern quality.
