Kazakhstan is actively developing a project to introduce children's SIM cards, which aims to protect children from unwanted online content. The Vice Minister of Education, Edil Ospan, reported that these SIM cards will allow for restricted access to certain websites and social media platforms. SIM card registration will be carried out using the child's individual identification number (IIN) and birth certificate number. Additionally, geolocation will be available through a mobile application, enabling parents to track their children's location.
