AFC President: the Asian football becomes stronger in 2021
During the online session of the executive committee of AFC the president of the organisation Sheikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa expressed confidence that football in Asia becomes stronger in 2021.
«I thank all the Members and their Member Associations for their support in what has been a difficult year for not only the AFC, but sport and the world in general. Sometimes you sail in calm waters, other times you weather the storm. I am certain the AFC can weather the current storm», - he said.
According to the head of regional body, AFC has already shown that in difficult conditions it can hold leading club tournament - League of champions of AFC. Fans with impatience wait now for the ending of tournament which will take place on December 19, 2020.
« It has been a significant achievement which has demonstrated the exceptional professionalism which exists in Asia», - noted Al-Khalifa.
AFC hopes to hold all planned competitions in 2021 and to finish elimination matches AFC to the world championship in football of 2022 which will pass in Qatar, and to superiority of Asia AFC-2023 in China.
The following session of the Executive committee of AFC is planned for October, 2021.
