The Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship serves as a remarkable example of fostering humanitarian values among the younger generation.
As a result of the successful continuation of the noble initiatives of Hero-Arkadag, significant attention is paid in Turkmenistan to issues related to the comprehensive development, recovery, and strengthening of the health of children and adolescents.
A vivid example of such care is the assistance and treatment provided to Gulnar Rakhimbayeva, a 7-year-old child from Dashoguz velayat. At the International Cardiology Center, doctors successfully performed heart surgery on the young girl, who had a congenital heart defect—an atrial septal defect. Following surgical treatment, the child's condition significantly improved.
Currently, another group of young Ashgabat residents in need of rehabilitation treatment is undergoing inpatient care at the Maternal and Child Healthcare Center in Arkadag city and the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Rehabilitation Center.
An interesting method of treatment for adolescents involves interaction with Akhal-Teke horses. This includes feeding, caring for, observing them, and participating in various games with them. This method has a pronounced therapeutic effect on children undergoing treatment. Known since the time of Hippocrates, this approach is beneficial as a form of rehabilitation for nervous tension, severe fatigue, and disorders of the central and peripheral nervous systems. Such therapy strengthens a child's self-confidence and trust in their treatment while fostering courage, nobility, hard work, and respect for Turkmenistan's national heritage.
The successful implementation of hippotherapy alongside traditional rehabilitation methods at the Children's Health and Rehabilitation Center in Arkadag city is based on medical recommendations and proposals from the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. This serves as further evidence of the state's commitment to ensuring the full recovery and health of children in need.
