During an expanded government meeting on Friday, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov of Turkmenistan signed a resolution "On approval of the Program for socio-economic development of the country and investments in 2025".

This was preceded by a report from Deputy Prime Minister Hojamyrat Geldimyradov, who, after reporting on the macroeconomic indicators of the economy for 2024, presented to the head of state a draft of the relevant program for the current year.

This document was prepared through the joint efforts of ministries, sectoral agencies, administrations of the country's regions, the capital and the city of state significance Arkadag.

The project, compiled on the basis of the seven-year Presidential program and the State Budget for the current year, outlines the macroeconomic indicators planned for 2025, production plans for all segments of the economy, indicators of socio-economic development and investment volumes. Measures are also envisaged to implement investment policy and improve the socio-living conditions of the people.

The President of Turkmenistan, signing the document, noted that in accordance with the Program for socio-economic development of the country in 2025, it is planned to maintain GDP growth at the level of 6.3%, and to maintain stable economic development in the sectoral and regional dimensions.

As a result of the creation of new production facilities based on IT technologies, it is planned to create over 3,000 jobs, bring foreign trade turnover to $20 billion, and also increase the share of the non-state sector of the economy in the GDP structure to 71.6%.

Thanks to the measures being taken, a stable increase in the incomes of the population and an improvement in their socio-living standards are envisaged this year.
