Turkmenistan to host International olympiads
In February–March 2025, international olympiads and an educational-methodological conference will be held at higher educational institutions in Turkmenistan. Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers B. Orazdurdiyeva reported on the preparations for these events during a Cabinet meeting.
As previously announced, these events are being organized within the framework of Turkmenistan’s Concept of Activities and Priorities for the International Year of Peace and Trust. They are dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the country's permanent neutrality and the 33rd anniversary of Turkmenistan’s membership in the United Nations. On February 28, the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan will host the international educational-methodological conference “Dil – hoşniýetli gatnaşyklaryň möhüm serişdesi.”
From March 10 to 15, the State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan will hold the IV Open International Online Olympiad in Theoretical Mechanics, while on March 18, the Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Construction will host the IV Open International Online Olympiad in Strength of Materials.
Students, faculty members, and scientists from Turkmenistan, as well as talented youth and scholars from leading universities in Russia, the USA, China, the Republic of Korea, the UAE, Austria, Germany, Romania, Turkey, Belarus, Malaysia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and many other countries, are expected to participate in these events.
These initiatives will contribute to strengthening international cooperation in science and education, fostering ties between universities worldwide, and preparing highly qualified specialists. After reviewing the proposals, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of developing young talent and enhancing international partnerships. The head of state approved the initiative and instructed the relevant authorities to carry out the necessary preparatory work.
