Cultural Challenge from the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Belgium: Peace and Trust in every word▶️
In celebration of the year 2025, declared the International Year of Peace and Trust, as well as the significant 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Belgium organized a cultural initiative. This initiative attracted the attention of a wide audience and highlighted the importance of Turkmenistan's peaceful foreign policy.
The challenge, organized by the Turkmen diplomatic mission, offers participants from Europe, including residents of Rotterdam (Netherlands), the opportunity to express their respect for the ideals of peace, trust, and neutrality.
Participants read inspiring quotes and appeals in Turkmen, English, and Dutch, reflecting the essence of the International Year of Peace and Trust, as well as emphasizing the significance of Turkmenistan’s policy of permanent neutrality. These messages broadcast the importance of peaceful coexistence, strengthening international trust, and mutual understanding.
Particularly noteworthy is the active participation of European youth in the campaign. Inspired by the ideas of peace and cooperation, young people eagerly joined the challenge. This aspect highlights the importance of the initiative as a tool for forming a new generation of supporters of peace and trust on the international stage.
The initiative received active support from the embassy’s partner, Derya Soysal, a member of the Belgian Diplomatic World Institute, a correspondent for Bruxelles Korner, and an independent environmental expert specializing in the history of Central Asia.
This challenge has become not only a diplomatic tool but also an effective platform for promoting the culture of Turkmenistan and its commitment to peace. The organizers note that this challenge is just the beginning of a series of events dedicated to the International Year of Peace and Trust. The Embassy of Turkmenistan in Belgium plans to conduct further cultural exhibitions, educational seminars, and other initiatives aimed at popularizing the policy of neutrality and peace in Europe.
This current initiative stands as an example of cultural diplomacy, demonstrating the significance of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality policy while supporting the core values embedded in the International Year of Peace and Trust.
