Central Asian Subregional Conference on Maternal and Child Health to be held in Tashkent
Tashkent will host the Central Asian Subregional Conference on Maternal and Child Health, bringing together experts, healthcare professionals, and government representatives from Central Asian countries. This topic was discussed during an online meeting between the Minister of Health of Uzbekistan, Asilbek Khudayarov, and the Director of the European Regional Bureau of the World Health Organization, Hans Kluge, according to the Uzbekistan National News Agency.
The conference will identify obstacles to the implementation and institutionalization of necessary measures to improve the quality of healthcare in this area.
The parties thoroughly discussed issues of strengthening cooperation in the areas of maternal and child health, prevention and control of non-communicable diseases, and the development of primary health care.
