Turkmenistan and Peace and Sport discuss prospects for cooperation
On January 28, a meeting took place between the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to France and Monaco, Maksat Charyev, and the President of the international organization Peace and Sport, Joël Bouzou, who also serves as an advisor to Prince Albert II of Monaco. The meeting continued key agreements reached during the visit of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Hero-Arkadag, to the Principality of Monaco on January 19–20, 2025.
The parties discussed potential areas of cooperation, including Turkmenistan’s participation in Peace and Sport events in 2025, as well as the possibility of hosting an international Peace and Sport forum in Turkmenistan.
Particular attention was given to Turkmenistan’s neutral status, which aligns with the principles of peace and trust and is highly valued by the international community and the Principality of Monaco. Both sides expressed their commitment to strengthening cooperation in promoting peace through sport, enhancing international understanding, and implementing joint initiatives. As an active participant in international processes, Turkmenistan will continue to contribute to fostering peace, trust, and harmony.
