Turkmenistan and Monaco strengthen cooperation in diplomacy, culture, and charity
On January 29, 2025, a meeting was held at the Government Building of the Principality of Monaco between the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to France, M. Charyev, and the Director of the Department of Diplomatic and Consular Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Monaco, Marie-Catherine Caruso-Ravera.
During the discussions, the parties addressed key issues of bilateral cooperation, emphasizing the importance of strengthening ties across various fields. The side of Monaco highlighted the significance of the visit of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, to Monaco, acknowledging his contribution to enhancing bilateral relations. A particular focus of the meeting was the participation of Turkmenistan’s equestrian group "Galkynysh" and Akhal-Teke horses in the 47th Monte-Carlo International Circus Festival.
This event became one of the most remarkable moments in Monaco’s cultural life and garnered widespread attention. The parties also discussed prospects for cooperation with the "Peace and Sport" Foundation, including Turkmenistan’s participation in upcoming events and potential joint initiatives.
It was agreed that further coordination on these matters would be conducted with the responsible representatives of the foundation. Additionally, discussions covered potential partnerships between the Charitable Foundation named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, and the Princess Grace and Prince Albert II Foundations. Both sides expressed their interest in expanding collaboration in the fields of charity, social support, and child assistance programs, reaffirming their readiness to work together on concrete initiatives.
