Match with Turkmen Wrestler included Top Three Greco-Roman Matches of 2017


The United World of Wrestling recognized the match between Turkmen wrestler Seydulla Tazayev and Tynar Sharshenbekov of Kyrgyzstan as one of the top three Greco-Roman matches from 2017. This match took place at Quarterfinal of Asian Junior Championship in Chinese Taipei in June. Tazayev outscored Sharshenbekov and won with 17-10. Recall that 19-year-old Turkmen wrestler brought his country gold medal on that championship. Tazayev, trained by the honored coach of Turkmenistan Rozy Rejepov has the bronze of the World Championship 2016 and the IV Islamic Solidarity Games held in Baku in 2017. The matches between Kamal Ameer Bey from USA - Akzhol Makhmudov from Kazakhstan at the Junior World Championship and Mohammadali Abdolhamid Geraei (Iran) - Daniel Cataraga (Macedonia) are also among top three performances of the last year.
