A lecturer from the Oguz Han Engineering and Technology University of Turkmenistan, Mekan Toyjanov, participated in an advanced training course on "Microturbines and Renewable Energy Sources".

The course was organized by the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) from January 20 to 24, 2025. A competitive selection process was held for the course, which attracted 17 scientists and engineers from 12 countries.

During the training, participants studied microturbines operating on renewable energy sources such as solar, wind, and hydrogen, including their production, distribution, and storage from both theoretical and practical perspectives. Indian professors, entrepreneurs, and engineers delivered lectures on reducing global carbon emissions and ensuring energy security through renewable energy sources, as well as on the economic and engineering aspects of these technologies. The course also included mobile training seminars that provided insights into the design of a 1 MW solar and hydrogen station and the production of electric vehicles at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo. At the end of the five-day course, a closing ceremony was held, where participants received certificates from the research center.

Toyjanov Mekan, in collaboration with professors from Tsukuba University in Japan, is conducting research on producing hydrogen from water using solar energy.
