At the presentation ceremony of the next book of the President of Turkmenistan, which this time is devoted to the establishment of national internal affairs bodies, the speakers from the Council of Veterans of the Ministry of Internal Affairs made a proposal to establish a medal named after Myalikguly Berdimuhamedov, the father of the incumbent president who had worked for many years in the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The establishment of state awards, according to the Constitution of Turkmenistan, is the prerogative of the national parliament - the Mejlis.
