British experts conducted training sessions for Turkmen teachers and students

A delegation from the University of Westminster, led by Vice-Chancellor Andrew Linn, visited Turkmenistan. During the visit, which took place from January 19th to 25th, representatives of the British university conducted training sessions for faculty and students of the International University for the Humanities and Development, the Turkmen State University named after Magtymguly, and the Turkmen State Pedagogical Institute named after Seyitnazar Seydi.

The training topics covered current issues in modern pedagogy, English language teaching, and curriculum development. In particular, the courses covered topics such as methodologically effective and technologically advanced practices, and CLIL — a unique approach to English language learning that involves the integration of content and language in lessons. This methodology helps students not only develop language skills but also learn about other subjects in the context of the English language. Such current trends in foreign language teaching as English for Specific Purposes (ESP) and English for Complex Texts (EFL) were also considered.
