The next session of the UNESCO General Conference will be held in Uzbekistan
Ahead of the 43rd session of the UNESCO General Conference in 2025, representatives of the Uzbekistan Culture and Arts Development Foundation held meetings with the organization's leadership in Paris, according to the Foundation's press service.
Joint projects were discussed during negotiations with high-ranking UNESCO officials, including Gabriela Ramos, Begona Lasagabaster, and Vera Lacoeuilhe. Central to the discussions were the organization of the International Beruni Prize and the award ceremony in Samarkand.
Also on the agenda were preparations for an exhibition on the Great Silk Road, participation in the Youth Forum, and discussions on the Country's Readiness for AI Technologies Report. Particular attention was paid to promoting Uzbekistan's candidacy for the UNESCO Executive Board for the period 2027-2030.
