Islam Makhachev defeats Renato Moicano ahead of schedule and defends UFC champion title

Russian Islam Makhachev defeated Brazilian Renato Moicano in the main fight at UFC 311 in Inglewood (USA, California).

The fight ended in the first round, when the Russian successfully performed a choke. According to the EssentiallySports portal, Russian champion Islam Makhachev is guaranteed to receive at least $1.5 million for this fight.

Makhachev defended his UFC lightweight title. He made his fourth defense of the championship belt. Moicano entered the fight on short notice after Arman Tsarukyan was injured.

Makhachev is 33 years old, he has 27 wins and one loss in MMA. 35-year-old Moicano has 20 wins, one draw and six losses in mixed martial arts.
