Turkmenistan and the Great Britain discussed expanding partnership in education

On January 16, 2025, an online meeting took place between representatives of Coventry University and stakeholders in the field of education in Turkmenistan.

Among the participants were representatives of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, the International University for the Humanities and Development, the Turkmen National Institute of World Languages named after D. Azadi, and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom to Turkmenistan, Stephen Conlon.

Giving a positive assessment of the existing partnership between Turkmenistan and the United Kingdom in the field of education, the parties explored potential areas for expanding cooperation. In this regard, particular emphasis was placed on the development of student exchanges, joint research initiatives, and educational programs.

Deputy Director for Business Development at Coventry University, Christopher Tagg, outlined the higher education institution's international engagement strategy, shared success stories of existing partnerships, and proposed innovative ways to strengthen bilateral ties with educational institutions in Turkmenistan.

The productive dialogue confirmed the commitment of both sides to promoting common goals in education.
