The Mejlis of Turkmenistan held a meeting with the Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Turkmenistan
On January 17, 2025, Chairperson of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan Dunyagozel Gulmanova met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan Ravshanbek Alimov.
The Chairperson of the Mejlis congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment to a high diplomatic post. She also wished him great success in his work to further strengthen friendly relations and mutually beneficial cooperation between the two neighboring countries.
During the meeting, the Ambassador was acquainted with the priority areas of the country's domestic and foreign policy, the composition of the national Parliament, as well as the work being done to provide legislative support for large-scale social and economic reforms in various sectors. Particular attention was paid to the importance of our country's initiatives to strengthen the foundations of peace, stability and prosperity in the region and the world.
During the meeting, an exchange of views took place, expressing mutual interest in the further development of parliamentary ties at the international level within the framework of prestigious international organizations and their structures.
